The delegation organized by BCCI and partners in Fuzhou, China started its work program. The next two weeks will be saturated with trainings on leading topics about the Chinese economy, technological and production development of the country, its industrial and market competitiveness with emphasis on the market of electric cars and batteries, high technologies, 5G infrastructure, etc.
The seminar was officially opened by Huang An, director of the Center for International Economic Cooperation of Fujian Province, who welcomed the Bulgarian delegation. Vasil Todorov, vice-president of the BCCI and head of the delegation, congratulated the hosts, thanking them for the good cooperation. He shared that such initiatives are an excellent opportunity to expand trade and economic relations between Bulgaria and China.
Ivet Nikolova, commercial advisor to the Consulate General of the Republic of Bulgaria in Shanghai, also offered congratulations to the organizers of the seminar. After ceremony, Nikolova held individual meetings with the representatives of the delegation, expressing her desire for cooperation and offering to send information to the members about future activities related to the Chinese market and cooperation interests.
The first day of the delegation started with a short presentation, in which each company and organization from the Bulgarian side introduced itself. Vasil Todorov made a presentation on the name of Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, emphasizing the main macroeconomic data for Bulgaria and information from the BCCI flagship publication "Bulgaria in Figures" 2024. Todorov also presented the main activities and services of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry for the benefit of business.
The introductory lecture on "Understanding China" was delivered by Shu Zan, focusing on the Asian country's economic and political system, cultural heritage and China’s foreign policy.
Next two days of the seminar in Fuzhou will be spent with an emphasis on exchange and cooperation between China and Bulgaria. In several consecutive lectures, the possibilities for increasing China's industrial competitiveness and optimizing organizations are discussed. Examples of investments by Chinese companies around the world, including in Bulgaria, were also presented.
In following days delegation program will continue with an intensive cultural, educational and business program, company visits and events. Meetings with manufacturing companies from the high-tech sector, a visit to China International Investment and Trade Fair in Xiamen, as well as a rich lecture program are coming up.
