Egypt is one of Bulgaria’s largest trade partners in the Middle East, which is due to the geostrategic location of Egypt and the signed bilateral agreements between two countries, said H.E. Mrs. Manal Yehia El Shinnawi, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Arab Republic of Egypt in Bulgaria at the opening of an information event on theme “Business climate and investment opportunities in Egypt”.
Vasil Todorov, Secretary General of BCCI, welcomed the participants and said that according to a survey conducted by BCCI, Egypt is the most desired destination in Africa for cooperation for Bulgarian businesses. He presented information about the Chamber’s partnership with organizations in Egypt and expressed readiness on behalf of the BCCI to assist investors from both countries.
Abdelrahman A. Raouf, Minister Plenipotentiary for Economics and Commercial Affairs at the Economic and Commercial Office of the Embassy of Egypt accredited to Bulgaria, presented the trade and economic relations between Bulgaria and Egypt, noting the main sectors of mutual interest.
