On March 12, a meeting was held between the Chairman of the Board of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) and Chairman of the Board of GS1 Bulgaria, Tsvetan Simeonov, and representatives of the Temu platform – Roman Gherman, Director of Corporate Affairs Europe, and Pablo Galvez, Government Affairs Manager. Vessela Subaczewska, an expert at GS1 Bulgaria, also took part in the meeting.
During the conversation, the Temu representatives briefly outlined the development of the platform, noting that it already operates in 100 countries worldwide. Temu entered the Bulgarian market in 2023 and began onboarding local sellers in July 2025. This initiative provides Bulgarian sellers and producers with the opportunity to list their products on the platform, enabling local consumers to choose from a wide range of products from around the world at affordable prices.
During the meeting, Temu presented the two main business models through which the platform operates:
Potential opportunities for cooperation in the field of e-commerce were also discussed, as well as Temu’s plans for development in Bulgaria. From Temu’s side, focus was placed on the opportunities the platform offers to Bulgarian manufacturers and traders – access to European and later international markets, an online sales platform, and marketing support.
