Representatives of Murayama municipality, Japan visited BCCI





At the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry a meeting was held between Tsvetan Simeonov, BCCI President and a delegation from Murayama municipality, Japan. The Japanese delegation visited Bulgaria at the invitation of the President of the Bulgarian Rhythmic Gymnastics Federation Mrs. Iliana Raeva in order to negotiate annual training camps for the Bulgarian rhythmic gymnasts in Murayama before the Olympic Games in Tokyo in 2020.

The Japanese delegation presented the economy and specifics of Murayama, which is famous for the largest rose garden, traditional production of cherries and sake, as well as for its educational system which includes rhythmic gymnastics in the school programmes.

The Japanese representatives expressed interest in tourism, Bulgarian producers of cherries, rose oil and yogurt. During their exploration mission in Bulgaria the representatives of Murayama municipality visited Kyustendil, Kazanlak and Plovdiv.

The President of the Chamber welcomed the interest of the Japanese representatives towards Bulgaria and Bulgarian products, emphasizing the significant size of Japanese investments in the country. The guests got acquainted to the activity of the Chamber and the services it provides in support of business. Among the main topics of discussion were also agriculture, machine building, and food-processing industry in Bulgaria.
