On 11 May 2011, Mr. Tsvetan Simeonov President of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry met with H. E. Leszek Hensel Ambassador of the Republic of Poland in Bulgaria and Commercial Counsellor Ms. Grazyna Chorazykiewicz, Head of Trade and Investment Promotion Section.
The occasion for the meeting was Poland’s upcoming Presidency of the EU Council during the second half of this year. BCCI’s President and the guests agreed that the next meeting of the Euroclub at BCCI will be held in mid-July, during which the Ambassador of Poland in Bulgaria will present the priorities of the Polish presidency before diplomats, businessmen and the media.
Ambassador Hensel also expressed desire to promote the export of Bulgarian wine to Poland, thus presenting Polish consumers with the opportunity to get acquainted with the numerous fine Bulgarian wine brands. Mr. Simeonov recommended getting in contact with some of BCCI’s members, well-known and respected wine producers.
During the meeting, readiness of Polish companies to participate in the fall edition of Plovdiv Fair was stated. Mr. Simeonov promised that BCCI will help organize their visit and arrange meetings with potential Bulgarian partners both in Sofia and in Plovdiv.
