Bulgarian – Korean Chamber of Commerce established in the presence of the Prime Ministers of Bulgaria and Korea









A Bulgarian – Korean Chamber of Commerce was officially established in the presence of the Prime Ministers of Bulgaria and the Republic of Korea.

“Bulgaria is a gateway to European markets, it is a good partner”, said the Prime Minister of the Republic of Korea Lee Nak-yon during the event. He also pointed out that the Bulgarian economy is developing at a high speed and the open market offers excellent opportunities for doing business.

On his part, Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borisov said that the Chamber provides a new platform for the development of Bulgarian – Korean relations.

Borisov also noted that Korea is a leader in the automotive industry and the development of cyber-cars is booming. According to him, our country is an extremely attractive place for a big cyber and electric car factory. The same goes for our IT technology parks, the Prime Minister said. In his words, a partnership in the military sphere is currently being negotiated, in particular for the production of armored machinery.

The President of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Tsvetan Simeonov also took part in the official event. Korean Prime Minister Lee Nak-yon thanked BCCI for its activity in support of businesses.

The new Chamber will assist companies that develop bilateral trade and industrial activities and will work to attract investment and implement industrial projects in the field of automotive industry, energy, electronics and environmental technologies.

The Chamber will work in close cooperation with the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Korea Trade Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA), the Korean Chamber of Commerce and Industry, as well as business organizations and state institutions.
