S E C T I O N   III
ACTIVITIES

Art. 9. Upon fulfillment of its goals and objectives the Chamber shall:
 
  1. (suppl. – General Assembly of the BCCI, 17.06.2014) organize within the country and abroad, including electronically, the printing and distribution of Bulgarian and foreign translations of laws in the field of foreign economic relations and business activities.
  2. (amended – General Assembly of the BCCI, 17.06.2014) publish and distribute in paper form and/or electronically the following:
    • (amended – General Assembly of the BCCI, 17.06.2014) non-periodicals in foreign languages, of a reference, commentary and statistical character;
    • joint publications with foreign mass-media, specialized information institutes, publishing houses, international centres, foreign chambers of commerce, etc.;
    • (amended – General Assembly of the BCCI, 17.06.2014) periodical economic publications in foreign languages aiming at the problems in the economic activities;
    • guidelines, express information, bulletins, manuals and other publications of practical use on current issues of foreign economic cooperation;
    • (new text – General Assembly of the BCCI, 17.06.2014) the practices of the Arbitration Court within the Chamber.
  3. (amended – General Assembly of the BCCI, 17.06.2014) Provide upon request with various economic and regulatory information, research, analyses etc.;
  4. (amended – General Assembly of the BCCI, 17.06.2014) Organize and coordinate the establishment and use of Bulgarian, European and international database of trade, regulatory and any other information, and assist in expanding e-commerce.
  5. Organize:
    • conferences, symposiums, meetings of specialists and round-tables within the country and abroad;
    • post-graduate training, qualification and re-qualification;
    • (amended – General Assembly of the BCCI, 17.06.2014) business contacts, specialized exhibitions and presentations of Bulgarian and foreign traders, civil companies, legal non-profit organisations;
    • expertise on proposals for capital investments and on conceptions for their effective use.
  6. Issue and verify certificates and other documents on:
    • status of its members;
    • origin of goods;
    • force majeure circumstances for failure to execute or for inaccurate execution of contracts;
    • temporary duty-free import (ATA carnets);
    • other circumstances in connection with production and trade.
  7. Advise upon:
    • (amended – General Assembly of the BCCI, 17.06.2014) establishment and registration of various forms of business activities, including legal non-profit organisations;
    • carrying out of foreign trade transactions – preparation of offers, contracts, negotiations, etc.
  8. Perform market research, match-making of partners for economic and trade co-operation.
  9. (amended – General Assembly of the BCCI, 17.06.2014) Advertise upon agreed forms and ways the activities of the traders, the legal non-profit organisations, as well as the other forms of economic and non-economic activities.
  10. Unify and standardize documents referring to international trade, as well as classify and code goods’ data.
  11. (new text – General Assembly of the BCCI, 17.06.2014) Provide:
    • Translation/interpretation services;
    • Services related to training and qualification, career counseling etc.;
    • Assistance related to environmental protection.
  12. (preceding item 11, amended – General Assembly of the BCCI, 17.06.2014) Offer to Bulgarian and foreign traders, civil partnerships, legal non-profit organisations etc. any other services helping on their activities.
  13. (preceding item 12, amended – General Assembly of the BCCI, 17.06.2014) Keep a Unified Trade Register of the entities which carry out economic and/or non-economic activity – traders, civil partnerships, legal non-profit organisations.
  14. (preceding item 13, amended – General Assembly of the BCCI, 17.06.2014) Approve the Code of Ethics in economic activities which shall be observed by the members of the Chamber and shall be recommended for observation by all entities carrying out economic activities.
  15. (preceding item 14, amended – General Assembly of the BCCI, 17.06.2014) register and popularize any international trade, port and other customs.
  16. (preceding item 15, amended – General Assembly of the BCCI, 17.06.2014) perform any other activities assigned to it by normative acts.
