BIO&ECO EXPO Reaffirms the Image
of Bio Products as Healthy, Produced with Reliable
Control and Certification Systems

On 14 September, 2011 the exhibition BIO&ECO EXPO 2011 was officially opened. Biodiversity loss and climate change are among urgent environmental challenges requiring immediate attention. Organic foods and farming are an effective approach towards achieving sustainable development.

As organizer of the exhibition, the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry takes special interest in the issue and welcomes the production and use of natural and bio products, closely related to the international tendencies for healthier lifestyle close to nature, preservation of the environment and biodiversity.

The aim of the exhibition is to emphasize the importance of ecologically clean and bio production and to assist companies, businesses and organizations in finding their market niche in the sector by establishing contacts with international and Bulgarian partners.

Over 60 companies – manufacturers and distributors of certified bio, eco and natural products – raw materials of plant and animal origin, foods and beverages, herbs, spices and nutritional supplements, bio and natural cosmetics, eco clothes, furniture, “green” office supplies, bio farms, eco technologies, etc. – took part in the exhibition.

World-known brands of bio products from Europe and other parts of the world were presented. The exhibition was accompanied by a rich seminar and presentation programme on topical themes.
