The Association of the Accounting Companies in Bulgaria is established on January 10th 1997 in Sofia from sixteen accounting companies and registered on July 9th 1997 under the Law on the Persons and Family.

The Association of the Accounting companies in Bulgaria gathers and defends the interests of its members. It aims to rise the image of the accounting profession in the context of the current Bulgarian accounting and tax legislation.

Aims of the Association of the Accounting companies in Bulgaria:
1. to develop, improve and spread-out the services of the accounting companies;
2. to establish a tolerant society of accounting companies and to help solving their problems;
3. to establish high criteria for professional attitude toward the accounting services;
4. to inform the members for all matters having important role for the activities of its members;
5. to support its members to make contacts with similar organizations and accounting companies abroad.

Organizational Structure The General Meeting of the members is the supreme body of the association. A 5-members Board rules the current activities of the association.

All services, offered by the members of the Association of the Accounting companies in Bulgaria cover the standard international requirement for quality. At the same time the work of the members is more adequate to the economic reality in Bulgaria and is done on the base of more real prices than those, offered by the foreign companies.

The members of the Association of the Accounting companies consult, audit and make the current accounting of companies, acting in different fields of the economy. This makes possible having a true picture of the impact of the accounting, tax, auditing and insurance laws and regulations over economic performance of the entities in the country.

The members of the Association of the Accounting companies in Bulgaria gather their efforts in achieving the following: stable and high quality of their services, adequate remuneration of the accounting labor, public understanding of the substantial role of the accounting profession in the course of economic development of Bulgaria.
