GS1 Bulgaria participated in the Regional Forum “GS1 in Europe”

GS1 Bulgaria participated in the Regional Forum “GS1 in Europe”, which was held in Lisbon earlier this week. The delegation led by the President of BCCI and President of the GS1 Bulgaria Council Tsvetan Simeonov included members of the Council and GS1 Bulgaria experts.

The forum allowed representatives of the 45 European GS1 organizations to share experience and exchange best practices in the application of GS1 standards in the main directions. Work group meetings, trainings, discussions of projects, plenary sessions and a meeting of the GS1 in Europe Board were held.

The emphasis of discussions was on developing accessible GS1 solutions providing full, accurate and reliable information about the products.

Good examples for accessible solutions meeting the new needs of end users are the GS1 Bulgaria’s Product Catalogue and mobile application BG Barcode. Through them end users can obtain all the product information required by them, provided that it has been uploaded by the manufacturer/distributor.

During the forum, the President of BCCI and GS1 Bulgaria Council Tsvetan Simeonov and the team of GS1 Bulgaria had a meeting with Bruno Aceto, Chairman of GS1 in Europe. Challenges facing European companies were discussed together with the upcoming important activities for GS1 Bulgaria during next year.
