First celebration of the 120th anniversary of the establishment of the chambers of commerce and industry in Bulgaria in Targovishte
On 11th May, with a solemn session in the town of Targovishte the launch of a series of events dedicated to the 120th anniversary of the establishment of the chambers of commerce and industry in Bulgaria was given. Speeches were given by the President of BCCI Tsvetan Simeonov, the President of Targovishte Chamber of Commerce and Industry Olya Ivanova, the Mayor of Targovishte Dr. Krasimir Mirev and the Deputy Regional Governor Stefan Ivanov.
The President of BCCI stressed the historic development of the system of chambers of commerce and industry in Bulgaria, which was established and functions within the global system of chambers worldwide. The main goal of this system is to provide extensive and high-quality services to businesses. In its activity BCCI also complies with the adopted international standards. Examples for this are the electronic arbitration set up and functioning at BCCI and the mobile applications – BCCI and BG BARCODE.
The management of BCCI and presidents of the regional chambers took part in the opening of the 238th traditional spring fair “Expo Targovishte 2015”.
A meeting of the Council of Presidents of the Unified System of Bulgarian Chambers of Commerce and Industry was also held in Targovishte.
