BCCI and the Association for Modern Trade agreed to work together for the introduction of better trade practices

The Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) and the Association for Modern Trade (AMT) signed an “Agreement to stimulate positive practices and prevent unfair commercial practices along the foodstuff supply chain”. The document is a result of the efforts of the two business organizations to not allow unfair commercial practices along the entire supply chain – from the production of foodstuff to their sale to the final consumer. The agreement was signed by the Executive Director of AMT Yordan Mateev and the President of BCCI Tsvetan Simeonov.

The document was drafted on the basis of the expert analysis of prestigious international organizations and the experience in working out efficient solutions against unfair commercial practices gained during the EU self-regulation initiative - Supply Chain Initiative. It is conformable to the European Commission’s recommendations and takes into account the important role of SMEs in the foodstuff supply chain.
