Meeting with the new Bulgarian Ambassador in Kazakhstan



The newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria to Kazakhstan Vasil Petkov visited BCCI and met with the President of the Chamber Tsvetan Simeonov. 
 
The aim of the working visit was to introduce the Ambassador to the activity of the BCCI and to discuss opportunities for development of bilateral economic relations between Bulgaria and Kazakhstan.
 
Tsvetan Simeonov presented the Chamber and pointed out that as a large employers’ organization it has a data base with information about 53 thousand companies – members of BCCI, a network of 28 regional chambers of commerce and industry, 104 sectorial organizations and can provide information about the financial reports of companies a year before the national statistics. 
 
Vasil Petkov said that his priority will be to intensify the trade and economic relations between Bulgaria and Kazakhstan and to cooperate closely with the Commercial and Economic Affairs Office in Astana. He outlined other areas of interest for bilateral cooperation – transport, finance, banking and justice. 
 
Tsvetan Simeonov expressed readiness on behalf of the BCCI to provide cooperation and assistance for the exchange of business delegations and organization of bilateral business forums.
