Regular Meeting of the Board of Directors of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation Organization’s Business Council in Thessaloniki



The BCCI’s President Tsvetan Simeonov participated in the 50th Regular meeting of the Board of Directors of the Business Council of the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC) in Thessaloniki, Greece.
 
The meeting was officially opened by the Chairman of the BSEC Business Council Emmanouil Vlachogiannis, First Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Thessaloniki. The BSEC BC Secretary-General Mammad Zulfugarov reported on the activities carried out during the Greek Chairmanship-in-office and informed the participants about the conclusions of the meeting held on 20th October with the BSEC Secretariat.
 
Dr. Ihsan Ugur Delikanli, President and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Black Sea Trade & Development Bank outlined the bank's activities as well as the projects funded so far- more than 180 in the areas of infrastructure, communications, industry, transportation etc.
 
Issues related to the operation of the Business Council were also given due attention. The meeting ended with the assuming of the Business Council’s Chairmanship-in-office by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Moldova. Intensifying the activity of the Business Council towards development of the export potential of the member states through geographic diversification of export is a priority of the Moldovan Chairmanship.
 
The BCCI’s President in a separate meeting with Dr. Delikanli discussed the opportunities to encourage Bulgarian companies to use the bank's services, including products for provision of resources for micro-financing. Dr. Delikanli pointed out that it was necessary to promote the activity of the Black Sea Trade & Development Bank in the BSEC member states, as there is untapped potential.
