The Foreign Minister of Sudan visited the BCCI within the framework of his official visit to Bulgaria

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Sudan Prof. Ibrahim A. Ghandour, who was on an official mission in Bulgaria, had a meeting with the President and members of the Managing Body of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The opportunities of economic cooperation between Bulgaria and Sudan were the main topic of the discussion with the Foreign Minister of the African country. The President of the Chamber acquainted the guest with the Bulgarian economy, its strong sectors and companies, which take interest in Sudan. The information technologies, construction, mining industry, agriculture, processing industry were considered as areas of common interest.

Subject of the meeting was also the organization of a business forum in Khartoum at the end of 2017. The BCCI on its part expressed its willingness to prepare a business visit to Sudan, in cooperation with the Embassy of Sudan in Sofia and the Sudanese Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The President of the BCCI suggested also cooperation at chamber level – transfer of experience, training of experts of the Sudanese Chamber in the fields: maintenance of a Trade Register, issuing of electronic documents, electronic arbitration, etc.
