The President of BCCI presented the award “Bank of the Clients”

The President of BCCI Tsvetan Simeonov presented the award “Bank of the Clients” to Vasil Hristov, Executive Director of First Investment Bank during the Annual Bank Awards ceremony for 2016. The event is held annually and is organized by the Bank of the Year Association.

The winner of the “Bank of the Year” award is DSK Bank.

In the other categories the awards went to:

• In the category “Market share” – UniCredit Bulbank

• In the category “Efficiency” – DSK Bank

• In the category “Dynamics of development” – Postbank

• In the category “Foreign Bank Branch” – Citibank Europe, Bulgaria Branch

• In the category “Secret Client” – Societe Generale Expressbank

• The “Bank of the Clients” award, determined by voting on the Association’s website, went to First Investment Bank.

CIBANK received a special diploma for the deal of the year in the banking system – the acquisition of UBB.

Over the years, the evaluation criteria underwent various transformations but they did not deviate from their principles for a moment. Since its establishment, the banks have been assesed on the basis of the financial, public information, announced by the Bulgarian National Bank and the audited accounts of the banks. The awards have always reflected what is happening in the financial environment in which we live. The “Bank of the Year” awards correspond to the contemporary financial reality, and in the same time preserve the spirit of tradition and full transparency and objectivity, the President of the Bank of the Year Association Valentin Panayotov said.
