BCCI hosted Bulgarian – Egyptian Business Forum

BCCI hosted Bulgarian – Egyptian Business Forum, organized in cooperation with the Egyptian Council for Sustainable Development and the Embassy of Egypt in Bulgaria.

The President of BCCI Tsvetan Simeonov officially opened the event pointing out the Chamber’s traditionally good cooperation with the Embassy of Egypt in Sofia. He emphasized the interest of Bulgarian companies to enter third markets and said that according to a survey conducted among the members of BCCI, Egypt is the most desired business destination in Africa.

H.E. Manal Yehia El Shinnawi, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Arab Republic of Egypt in Bulgaria greeted the participants and said that Egypt is one of the largest trade partners of Bulgaria in the Middle East. Embassador El Shinnawi presented priority sectors in Egypt such as agriculture, IT, renewable energy.

Up-to-date economic information was presented about Egypt, its business climate and investment opportunities. The participants also got acquainted to the activity of the Egyptian Council for Sustainable Development, which is one of the largest business associations in Egypt.

After the official part, the forum continued with bilateral meetings by interests between the Bulgarian and Egyptian companies.
