Vietnamese – Bulgarian Business Discussion with the participation of entrepreneurs from both countries

The Vietnam – EU Free Trade Agreement was in the focus of the event




The Embassy of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in Sofia in cooperation with the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry organized a discussion on theme: “The Vietnam – EU Free Trade Agreement: opportunities and challenges”.

H.E. Mrs. Nguyen Thi Hong Oanh, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam welcomed more than 80 entrepreneurs from Vietnam and Bulgaria participating in the event and stressed the traditionally good cooperation between the two countries and the excellent results from the visits of high level official delegations in the past year.

On behalf of BCCI, the President Tsvetan Simeonov said that the Chamber will remain a reliable partner for the establishment of business contacts between companies from Vietnam and Bulgaria in the future. He pointed out that BCCI was officially accredited by the International Chamber of Commerce – World Chamber Federation (ICC WCF), Paris to issue certificates of origin and other foreign trade documents and was among the first dozen of accredited chambers worldwide. Through this accreditation, businessmen from the two countries are extremely facilitated and receive rapid customs clearance of their goods. The growing interest of the business to strengthen and intensify the bilateral cooperation was became evident during the visit of the President of the Republic of Bulgaria Rosen Plevneliev and the business delegation organized by BCCI which accompanied him to Vietnam in October 2013. The Vietnamese guests got acquainted to BCCI’s activities in support of business.

The event continued with a discussion on the main features of the Vietnam – EU Free Trade Agreement and the opportunities and challenges it presents.
