Agriculture – promising sector for cooperation with Albania

Albanian delegation presented the country’s traditions in agriculture




H.E. Mr. Qirjako Kureta, Ambassador of Albania in Bulgaria, accompanied by a business delegation visited BCCI.

The aim of the meeting with BCCI’s President Tsvetan Simeonov was to establish contact and discuss opportunities for cooperation between Bulgaria and Albania in the field of agriculture. The Albanian delegation presented the characteristics and capabilities of Fier County, known as a fertile area, and expressed interest in cooperation with Bulgarian companies – importers of agricultural products.

Albania has long-standing traditions in agriculture. In addition to the traditional for the Balkans fruits and vegetable, the cultivation of dates and olives is expected to be resumed.

During the meeting it became clear that there are plans to organize a fair of Albanian agricultural products in Sofia in 2017.
