BCCI and the World Free Zones Organization discuss joint initiatives

The President of BCCI Tsvetan Simeonov had a meeting with Nika Manukova, Regional Representative for Europe and CIS of the World Free Zones Organization.

The meeting took place at the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) with the participation of Syuzanna Hayrapetyan, Executive Assistant at the World FZO and Lyubka Alexandrova, Marketing and Investment Services Expert at the InvestBulgaria Agency. This is the first visit of the World FZO’s Regional Representative in Bulgaria. Prior to it, an Agreement was signed by InvestBulgaria Agency to join the World FZO.

The President of BCCI introduced the guests to the main pillars of the Chamber’s activity – the fully digitized Arbitration Court, the voluntary Unified Trade Register of BCCI and the issuance of certificates, international cooperation, statistical economic publications issued to facilitate Bulgarian businesses, various services and cooperation. According to Mr. Simeonov, the World FZO and BCCI are partners with similar goals.

Nika Manukova presented the goals and mission of the World FZO – to assist and connect zones with zero or extremely low taxes for companies doing business. She pointed out the advantages of membership in the Organization, among which a broad database and services offered to investors.

During the meeting opportunities for cooperation between BCCI and the World FZO were discussed as well as the possibility to organize a joint round table discussion. The two organizations are expected to sign a Memorandum at the end of the year.
