Vamo AD is a manufacturer of diesel and gas engines, some of the components, matched for the same, spare parts and technological equipment, established in 1935 by joining two co-operative enterprises. It has more than 65 years history.

The construction of a new plant with capacity of 30 000 engines per year commenced after signing a license agreement with the English firm Perkins for the purchase of industrial rights for manufacture of 3,4 and 6 - cylinder diesel engines.

As a result of the increased demand for engines, after 1982 modernization of the existing capacities was completed aiming to achieve the capacity of 72 500 engines per year.

At present, the company production range and activity include:

• production of 3 - and 4 - cylinder diesel and LPG engines with power from 25 to 90 kW;
• engines repairing and recycling;
• technological equipment production;
• spare parts production;
• research, design and investment activity;
• marketing and trade.

VAMO engines modifications are manufactured in lots of applications for running of fork-lifts, agricultural machines, trucks, light cargo vehicles, marine vessels, generator set and water-pump stations.

Since 1997 the Company has been certified under ISO 99002/94 - it refers to all activities of the company, i.e. purchasing production, assembly, sales, service, etc., and since the year 2000 under ISO 9001. WAMO engines meet the international norms for environmental protection and could be used in all countries where legislation companies with E/ECE/324 regulations.

VAMO engines could be built in machines made by any company worldwide because of the opportunity these engines to be assembled with alternative modifications of components such as:

Forklift Engines

Tree - and four cylinder diesel engines D2500K, D2900K, DT3900K and D4000.I.K. are designed to be mounted in forklifts with load capacity of 1-6 tons.

VAMO D4000.I.K. diesel engine exhaust emissions components content complies with the norms of Rule E/ECE/324 R96. Engine smoke density meets the requirements of Rule E/ECE/324 R24-03.

It has the following features:

• Design technology and manufacture applying modern computer methods on high capacity production facilities;
• High quality provided by the implementation of ISO 9001 QMS;
• Easy mounting and service;
• VAMO / Customer partnership throughout engine operation;
• Spare parts support.

There is also a gas version developed and they operate on liquefied propane-butane. The improved environmental characteristics of the LPG engines allow their indoor use and meet the high requirements of pollution prevention.

The flexible engine construction allows to mount them in various types of forklifts, manufactured in our country and abroad.

VAMO diesel engines are mounted in forklifts produced by: Balkanc Record, Balkancar Strdets, Balkancar Pleven, Hercu, Dimex, Beta, EUROCAR-Bulgaria, ENMTR-Algeria, TIANJIN- CHINA,ETC.

Tractor Engines
Three - and four cylinder diesel engines D2500T, D2900T, D3900T, DT3900T and D4000.I.T. which are used in the farm tractors with pulling strength of 0.6 to 1.4 tons.

The engines manufactured in VAMO AD are successfully mounted in tractors TK$% and TK&) - manufactured by AGROTECHNICA, city of Karlovo;- in tractor FRAT-470-Siria;-in tractors 6LKM and 8293 of UMZ- Ukraine;- in tractors IMT-539,IMT-577,IMT-595,Belgrade,etc.

VAMO diesel engines are built in tractors production of :"Agrotechnika"-typeTK-45, TK-70; "Beta"-typeT25F,"Han Krum"-type K20-Bulgaria;"IMT"-type539,577,595-Yugoslavia;"AL FRAT"-type 470-Syria;"Ursus"-type 4390-Poland; TTZ-type 35,36-Uzbekistan,etc.

There wouldn't be any problem to mount the engines in tractors Massey Ferguson-type MF240, 285.

The renovation of the tractor fleet in Cuba is carried out with VAMO engines.

Automobile Engines
The four -cylinder diesel engines D4000A and DTO4000A.E2 were designed for installation in small - tonnage vehicles with load capacity of up to 3.5 tones/overall weight up to 7 tones/and in busses with up to 33 seats.

VAMO D4000A is an up to date natural aspiration diesel engine for installation in low loading capacity vehicles with useful load up to 1.5 tones, in special vehicles with GW up to 3.5 tones and in minibuses up to 14 seats.

VAMO DT4000A is a turbo-charged diesel engine for installation in low loading capacity vehicles with useful load up to 3.0 tones, in special vehicles with GW up to 5 tones and in minibuses up to 20 seats. The engine meets higher demands on smoke density, emissions and noise.

VAMO DTO4000A.E2 - EURO2 is an up to date turbo-charged and boost air cooled diesel engine, for installation in a wide range of low loading capacity vehicles with useful load up to 3.0 tones, special vehicles with GW up to 7 tones and minibuses with up to 22 seats, highly demanding low smoke density, emissions and noise.

VAMO DT4000A.E2 diesel engine meets the emission requirements of Reg.E/ECE/324 R49-02B "EURO II". The engine meets smoke density requirements of Reg.E/ECE/324 R24-03.

Engine performance has been achieved by implementing:

• State of the art re-entrant combustion chamber;
• Piston ring pack has been positioned closer to piston crown;
• Improved piston and cylinder liner design;
• Reduced dead volume above piston at TDC;
• Super-high pressure in - line fuel injection pump(1100 bars);
• Injectors with 6 hole nozzle and reduced sack volume- " mini sack";
• Min advance injection timing;
• Increased b.m.e.p;
• Boost air-cooling.

Around the word there are implemented certain norms for environmental control and human health care, that regulate combustion engines smoke density and gaseous emissions. The North American Environmental Protection Agency (ERA) and European Commission for Economy (ECE) introduce restriction regulations for the content of exhaust gases basic components:- CO-carbon oxide, HC-hydrocarbons, Nox-nitrogen oxides and particulates-PM as well as smoke density.

The above norms are listed in the following documents;

• For emissions: -E/ECE/324/R49-02B-EURO2, US EPA On - high way
• For smoke density:-E/ECE/324 R24-03

The engines have been developed in VAMO using modern computer method and contemporary experimental laboratories.

VAMO diesel engines are built in small tonnage vehicles AMO ZIL and minibuses AMO ZIL and PAZ-Russia.

Marine Engines

Engines D2500M, D3900M DT3900M are particularly suitable for the needs of small vessels as main engines with power of 30-65 kW. These engines are used also as auxiliary engines in large vessels.

The engines comply with the specific requirements for work in sea environment and are in conformity with the safety regulations of Bulgarian Ship Register.

The engines may be completed with additional accessories (such as shaft line, screw, pump, outboard water, reverse reducer, etc.) in accordance with the client's request.

Diesel Gensets and Water Pumps

The engines D2500, D2900, D3900 and DT3900 are installed in automated single pump stations, suitable for operation in different climatic zones and generator sets with power of 22-66-kW.

VAMO diesel engines are mounted in gen sets produced by:-"Avangard"-Bulgaria, -"TEKSAN JENERATOR","ISBIR" and "KOSKAYA"-Turkey.

VAMO diesel engines are assembled with water pumps production of:"VIPOM"-Bulgaria, "ITUR BOMBAS"-Spain and "MZT-Pumpu"- Macedonia.

VAMO diesel engines are assembled with "Atllas Copco"-piston compressors with capacity 58-116 1/s production of "UNITEH"-Yugoslavia.

The in-built automatic protection allows the automatic operation of the machine.

"Plastimo"Plc was established in 1964 in town Samokov, which is 60 km. away from Sofia and 10 km away from the world famous winter resort Borovetz.
The main technological directions being constantly developed by the company are:

• Extrusive blast forming of plastic flasks, bottles, jars;
• Conventional injection molding of plastic products- household and industrial;
• Expandable polystyrene forming in plates and blocks using a continuous method;
• Expandable polystyrene forming for packages;
• Lamination of expandable polystyrene plates in sandwich type panels using different types of layers;
• Construction of prefabricated buildings from sandwich type panels.

The blast forming equipment supplied by the German Co- Staal Blastformtechnic enables the automatic production of flasks, bottles, jars in different types of thermoplastics. They are suitable for packing of liquid, paste like powdered and chemical granulated products as well as perfume and cosmetic products, pharmaceutics and food products.

The microprocessor control of the technological process is a guarantee for high quality production.

Conventional injection molding production is ensured by machines with capabilities for re-processing of different types of thermoplastic materials.

Great variety of machines regard to their technical parameters allows both semi-automatic production of up to 5 kg products including different caps, household goods and products for the different sub-brunches of industry.

"Plastimo" is also capable of making its products in a wide color range in conformity with a customer specification.

Plastimo has machines for both plastics scrap re-processing and production of re-granulates.

By means of both the construction development and the company's tools making department. Plastimo provides a wide variety of plastic products, packages and it meets the specific customer requirements.

The company has an installation for the extrusive blow of polyethylene and polypropylene for production of sheets with maximum width of 800 mm used mainly for packaging of the end product.

In 1974 the company started to use leading technologies and machines for re-processing of expandable polystyrene.

In this way it managed to include in production the wide spectrum of its use.

The initial expansion of expandable polystyrene is carried out by pre-expanders using a full cycle of work. By setting the influence the technological process , a volume weight of 14 to 50 kg per m3 is being achieved .

The expandable polystyrene is used for production of blocks. An automated block form with dimension of 5000 x 1270 x 500 mm is used for that purpose .As per customer specification, the blocks can be cut /horizontally or vertically/ to size.

Plastimo has a microprocessor control machinery for cutting blocks if a closed control is used, thus enabling the production of all types of profiles.

By the method of injection moulding, the expandable polystyrene is used for production of packages for food processing industry, electronics, engineering industry, etc. The company is capable to produce various packages having dimensions not bigger than 1200 x 800 x 200 mm.

In 1997 for the first time in Bulgaria, Plastimo starts production of light weight heat-insulation EPS packages:

• Cups/120, 225 ml/;
• Trays -"Large size" 224x134x22mm;
• Small size "131x121x18mm

Both the licensed technology and the equipment for continuous operation supplied from Sweden and Holland provide a production of moulded EPS plates with thickness from20 to 200 mm and with width up to 1250mm. The EPS plates have high physical, mechanical and heat-insulation parameters which are controlled by the company's laboratory.

Depending of their volume weight, the compression pressure as to 10% deformation reaches up to 1,4 kg/cm2, the tensile strength -up to 0,29 MPa, the thermal conduction coefficient - up to 0,033kg/nh0C at 200C

The equipment is supplied with facilities for extra processing of EPS plates including surface, vertical or horizontal cutting.

A part of the EPS plates are used as cores of the sandwich type panels production using different laminating boards. That is achieved by the Swedish license technology for full automated equipment having an annual capacity of 250 000 m2 .The technological process, including the application of adhesive on EPS plate, putting together and the subsequent pressing of the sandwich type panels ensure high adhesive strength of up to 0,25 MPa. The equipment is supplied with facilities for side milling of grooves in the sandwich type panels, depending on the way of putting them together.

The panels produced have the following dimensions:

• Length - up to 3 000 mm.
• Width - up to 1 200 mm.
• Thickness-up to 150 mm.

Plastimo designs, produces, supplies and constructs buildings using sandwich type based on gypsum fiber - expandable polystyrene - gypsum fiber for housing and office purposes.

The company provides both design and construction of shopping areas, kiosks, offices, villas, houses, production premises and stores according to a customer specification.

The buildings are mounted on a reinforced concrete foundation to be made by the client in conformity with the requirements of the company. The panels are put together by means of steel or wooden profiles depending on place they are used. The doors and window framework is wooden. Ceiling elements are supporting beams and light panels with one side laminated EPS plates. According to the customer requirements, the roof is made from profile galvanized sheet iron or tiles.

The buildings thus constructed have very good technical parameters:

• Heat resistance - 1,726 m2 0C/W
• Earthquake resistance -8th degree under MSK scale.
• Fire resistance to the stage of hard burning.

Plastimo offers rough assembly or rough assembly plus extra construction works. The finishing works, if the client requires them, may include:
