Applications for WNF program in FY2012
AOTS is currently recruiting proposals for the WNF programmes to be organized in fiscal 2012. Kindly submit our positive proposals to AOTS head office by the end of February.
To activate the WNF programmes, in addition to the traditional types of programmes, AOTS welcomes the following new three types of proposal;
1) Non-subsidized WNF programmes
Since the WNF fund and budget are limited, we cannot subsidize all the relevant programmes. However, if you can find any sponsors or budget, or you can collect enough amount of participation fees to cover all the cost, you can use the banner of WNF in organizing such programmes but without the subsidy. The merit of such non-subsidized WNF programme is that you can flexibly organize programmes in collaborating with any other alumni societies, using the name of WNF and AOTS, without budget restriction and the meticulous paper works to be required by AOTS. This is to enhance the name and value of your alumni society in your place.
2) Third country type WNF programme
It is also possible now to organize a WNF programme in the third country where no AOTS Alumni Society is formed. For example, an alumni society of India and Pakistan can jointly organize a WNF programme in Dubai, etc. This should help the participating alumni societies expand their global wing and also to promote the activity of AOTS and its Alumni Societies in the third country.
In fact it is already possible to invite participants from our usual WNF programme from the third country where no AOTS Alumni Society is formed. For example, the Alumni Society of Sudan can send participants from the neighboring countries such as South Sudan to the programme in Kerala.
3) Business like WNF programme
We can organize business like WNF programmes such as business mission, business promotion/matching programmes. This will let the organizing Alumni Society feel easier to ask for donation to the WNF fund, because the participants can feel benefitted, if they can get any achievement on their business.
Since the environment of AOTS Japan is getting unclear, budget is decreased, and the overseas offices must be wiped out, AOTS expects that each Alumni Society will use the WNF scheme more effectively to be more self-sustainable.
